So… Do I Need A Personal Trainer?
Greetings Athletes!
There is a lot of confusion on what a Personal Trainer does. You may think it is someone to help you do an exercise correctly. Or perhaps you think a personal trainer is someone walking around the gym or perhaps leading a circuit class. A trainer does these things, but a good trainer is much more. I never thought I needed a personal trainer until I really understood what a great personal trainer does. If you have weight management issues, aches and pains, are in your 40s and beyond, you owe it to yourself to find out how a personal trainer could be invaluable to your future fitness.
If you’ve read this far, you’ve probably got a lot of questions. Let me tell you a story – I have been working out consistently for over 45 years. I’ve been to Gold’s Gym and others. I’ve worked out in the Navy. I stay in shape. My routine was basically the same. Split Routines with some light cardio and then some core. Sounds good right? Wrong. As I got older, I should have began to work on Power, Agility and Stretching. I have many muscle imbalances that I’m now working on, that could have been prevented with a good personal trainer. Here is what a good trainer can do for you:
- Assess your current fitness on all levels
- Cardio
- Strength
- Agility
- Muscle Imbalances
- Diet
- Weight
- Power
- Muscle Strength
- Muscle Growth
- Develop a personalized program for you that will address:
- Weight Management
- Stability
- Muscle Endurance
- Agility
- Power
- Flexibility
- Muscle Imbalances
Basically – a good trainer can help you stay healthy, if you engage them in personal sessions. Don’t be fooled though, not all trainers are made the same. Check out what Very Well Fit and WebMD have to say about that.
All the best!
All the time!
